Dear Parents/Carers
Re: Resignation
A little late maybe, but Happy New Year and I hope everyone had the best Christmas break possible!
Many people have been enquiring about my recent absences from school, so I’d like to briefly explain the situation:
On the very last day, of last term (21st July 2022) my wife was taken seriously ill. The emergency has passed, although rehabilitation is on-going; I would like to publicly thank staff and governors for their continued support during a very challenging time.
However, this has led me towards a very difficult decision. Just prior to the start of the Christmas break, I sadly gave my resignation to Mr Richard Nicholas (our Chair of Governors) with a view to resign the executive headship of our schools’ Federation, as of Easter 2023.
I have had a great 11 years in post. We have seen many changes, had many challenges, but generally came out smiling!
Can I thank everyone for the time and importance you give to the rounded education of our children, and I know with the experience of our superb governing body, a brilliant new headteacher will be sought.
I will no doubt write again, as we break for Easter.
Yours faithfully
Mr Emery
