Computing & Literacy:

Children in Eagles Class used the features of Word to present their poems of Remembrance.

Remembrance CW:

On Friday the 11th of November, the children in Eagles Class showed their respects for the gentlemen from the Spalding Veterans Support Service by shaking their hands as they left the hall and thanking them for their service and all their work.

Sewing Poppies:

Children in Eagles Class sewed poppies to give to the representatives of the Spalding Veterans Support Service. The poppies will be displayed in the office of the organisation.

Geography:

Children used four and six figure grid references to locate places of interest on an Ordnance Survey Map. They also had to provide references for specific attractions.

World Cup:

On Monday 21st November, Children in IKS2 watched the England v Iran World Cup Game. We have some very enthusiastic England supporters!

Computing – Online Safety – Support:

Children thought about the type of support that people may need, including online, and where to get that support from.

D&T – Cookies:

The children had great fun making the cookies they had planned during this term’s D&T sessions.

Autumn 1 2022/23

Maths

Y6 children in Eagles’ class learnt how to use a compass to draw a perfect circle, ready to complete a labelled diagram of the parts of a circle.

Art

Y6 children used paint and collage to create battle scenes linked to their learning about World War One.

School Councillors

Eagles’ School Councillors are Rebecca Smith and Lily Mai.

Eco Warriors

Eagles’ Eco Warriors are Emily Day and Evie Markham.

PGL

On 12th – 14th September, Year 6 pupils from William Stukeley and Deeping St. Nicholas spent a fabulous few days at PGL in Caythorpe, Grantham. The children were an absolute credit to the Federation, and they all had the most wonderful time!
